Data we collect through our bot

When interacting with our bot, some data are collected automatically while others are collected upon using specific features of our bot. All the data collected and the reasons we collect them are described below.

Server information

Upon joining our bot to your server, the bot automatically creates an empty data storage mapped to your server's ID. Once the bot is kicked, all server data that the user has provided (for example: channel IDs for welcome and goodbye and the prefix) is saved for convenience in case the bot is re-added to the server. Only the bot developers will have access to this data.

Channel information

Some features require the bot to store IDs of channels. For instance, our welcome and goodbye system stores the selected channel's ID for the bot to send a message when a member joins. This data is only stored if our setwelcome or setgoodbye command is used. It can be deleted if you use the unsetwelcome or unsetgoodbye command (but then the bot's welcome and goodbye features will stop working in your server).

Message content

Some features of the bot use message content such as snipe and AI chat. While AI chat does not store the message content, snipe stores the content of up to 5 deleted messages in channels. This feature can be useful when a member has to prove server admins that another member broke server rules by their behavior in chat. Snipe does not permanently store message content though, once the bot restarts, all snipe data gets erased as it is an in-memory storage rather than a long-term one.

User-provided data

Our bots may store user-provided data for several purposes. Taking the welcomer system as an example, the bots need to know what message to send when new members join and where to send it, provided that the welcome message feature is turned on. And our custom prefix feature, which stores the custom prefix for your server along with your server's ID.

Diagnostic data (automatically collected)

All of our bots are equipped with custom logging features that help us identify the cause of bugs and quickly resolve problems that may be present in our software. These features log error messages and the server ID where it happened, no other information is saved. The server ID is required to log errors separately for each server. In case a server owner or admin needs our assistance with a problem, this helps us quickly identify and solve the problem.

How long we use your data

Our services store and process data to provide you the features offered. Data is only stored if it is required and is stored as long as it is required. When you turn on a feature, the bots store data as described above, when that feature is turned off, the bots automatically delete the related data. If the bots get kicked from your server or leave it for any other reason, all data is deleted except for the previously mentioned user-provided data. The user-provided data can be deleted through the commands mentioned in the Channel information subheading.

Where information is processed

Our team is based in India and Hungary, these are the home regions of our services. In order to keep the latency of our bots low, we use Virtual Private Servers to host our bots in datacenters located in the United States as well. Our host service providers use the latest protection measures to ensure the safety of the data stored by our services inside the cloud instances.

Your data rights and choices

In accordance to applicable laws we provide our users the ability to access the data we store about them and to request data deletion. As described above, our bots store Discord IDs mostly which are required for the bots' features to work properly. If you request your data to be deleted from our databases, please note that the associated features will be turned off. Also note that, if you are asking to delete your server's ID from our databases, the bots will leave your server. You can delete some data through certain commands or request deletion of all your server data through a ticket in our support server.
